First, my sincere apologies to Bridget...and a song would be quite comforting knowing that my time in the free world was probably coming to a close. Also I could speak in code to you and you would know exactly what I was talking about. (See future posts.) Oh man would that confound those TSA thugs. And surely land me in a cement cell once and forever.
Second thought from the plane (1754, I was already telling you this I believe, but I will post it for everyone else):
I really didn't feel like talking to anyone on the plane, and last time I flew from DC to MSP I had such a talker next to me, wouldn't shut up even after I told her I was going to go to sleep, etc...so I was thinking of tactics to get out of talking to people on the airplane like that. Pretend I was deaf, or didn't speak english? Nah, they'd probably just happen to speak whatever language I made up, just my luck. I couldn't pull out my magazine, cause they would probably start commenting on it and want to look at it with me. Didn't have any headphones, plus you can't use them for the beginning part of the flight. Finally on the airplane I hit upon a great idea: let them talk to me! I was just going to get a great chance to practice using false identities. I even began making some up for the second flight. I was really excited to get a talker. (Unfortunately, I didn't get one.)
First identity: Since I was wearing a Georgetown sweatshirt, I needed a reason for that. I figured I could have just come back from visiting my girlfriend who goes to Gtown, and heading back to Minnesota to work...somewhere...details weren't certain. Maybe going to the U for school, maybe just going back to waitress. But I was definitely going to play the L card as much as I could (ahem) and see if I could make them uncomfortable, and if I could, then goody, cause it was a 3-hour full flight, so they couldn't change seats. Yay!
I forget my 2nd and 3rd identities. I know I came up with 3. Then fell asleep. And if anyone has any ideas, they are welcome to share them and I am certainly willing to try them out around the city here if I think they fit me enough. (I've got to be realistic and know something about the assumed personas though, no stretching things too far or I could get caught in an awkward trap.)
Today: Target, Walgreens, perhaps other errand-running. Going to get organizers and clean room. Evening: work on overdue paper, nibble nibble. Almost done with first section of it, then I will have a template for the other sections, and it will go more quickly.
