I realized I haven't really posted much about my actual adventures on the job. I really ought to, because otherwise I have to greatly restrain myself from talking Paul's ear off about them. So I think I shall have to come have a sit-down at the computer every day after work for 15 minutes to get them out there.
Mainly they consist of stories about insane republicans who get overly offended that we are out on the streets. My coworker the other day got spit on, leading to my announcement in the office that I would quit if such a thing happened to me, but no one accepted that. People also call us really nasty names and tell us that our campaign is too negative. (Ummm, people, you just called me a shithead and then you're telling me that I'm negative??)
Bragging paragraph:
Amazingly, I am one of the best canvassers in the office, something I never anticipated. Last week, in fact, I outgrossed and out-averaged every other person in the office, by far. That meant a nice paycheck for me. :) But then I had a bad week after that, as they sent me to several rich REPUBLICAN suburbs, so my monthly standing fell (we're competing for a cool custom t-shirt). Well, my lowered standing is also due to the fact that this canvasser Allison (a cutie! she just graduated from high school -- Spencer's high school, E -- and is sooo sweet) got a $1,000 check the other night. That bumped her up a little bit.
Well that's all I'm going to write this morning. Today is my first day off after 6 days, so I'm going to go enjoy it.
