Today at work was frustrating (well I made about twice what i made yesterday, but that was still barely quota). We got out to our site 45 minutes early, so Wes, the guy I was working with, and I sat on this nice grassy hill and just ate some snacks (carrots and cherries and such). We then started working and after about 20 minutes he came over and said he had decided to quit.
That's too bad, cause Wes was pretty cool. Also too bad because then I was all by my lonesome.
A couple hours later one of the assistant directors came out from the office to work with me. She just arrived on Friday and is still pretty new to all this. She's a Foreign Service brat (East Asia mostly) so she was never quite socialized properly for American culture. Weird. Nice though....but just weird and kind of awkward.
After work though the 'real' director pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to be promoted to a directorship job, so that was pretty cool. But I turned it down, just like I turned it down in May. I really don't want to relocate. Plus, as I pointed out to him, I work fewer hours and make more money than the directors do. Haha. He didnt' think that was that funny. Hehe.
Paul's on his way over, we're gonna make dinner tonight. Yummy. I wonder what we've got to work with.
