I have been writing this Islam paper for quite a while, which is funny, because it seems like it has gone very quickly...well I think the thing is that the writing of it has gone fairly quickly but I have been doing hours upon hours of research and that has taken up a lot of time.

Last night Jonathan and Erin came over and we cooked dinner and then we went and rented a movie; Jonathan wanted to get The Day After Tomorrow, so we did, then we made fun of it for 2 1/2 hours. They made wolves look like coyotes (pronounce that cay-oats, please) -- real mangy, too, and then they made them run around on top of the frozen snowy New York and attack people and try to chew someone's leg off. It was kind of...silly. Everyone knows wolves don't attack people! What WASN'T silly about the movie was the plot. That troposphere sure can get sucked down quick to freeze everything tight up in less than a second. I was a bit confused though when they said the temperature was dropping 10 degrees a second and still people would stick their heads out the window with no hats on!! Silly boys, they're all going to get pneumony. And they said it was too late to save Minnesota, so they just let us all die! Now that wasn't very nice, was it?

Today I wrote my term paper. I have about half a page left. I have plenty of things I could fill it up with, so i have to choose carefully. I think I will wait for my interviews to all come back to me; I can turn it in without that half-page. Anyway i can fill it up with my 80-page conclusion. First I have to decide what my conclusion is though. I think it is the same as my thesis. Hmm, that's interesting.

Today Rasha is in town, so I went and hung out with her and Erin for a couple hours in Leavey, then I went to Booey's for dinner with Bogdan, who I have been swearing I will hang out with since September and then we never have, so tonight we did. Then I went back home and wrote more on my paper and now I came to the library so I could do the interviews and print out some info, like the name of the person who is in charge of answering the Muslims for Bush email.

I have been meaning to go swim, but that hasn't worked out. Because, for example, today I set my alarm for 11 (I was up til after 2:30, so I figured 8 1/2 hours was permissible), but then I turned it off and got up after noon. So then I just had to start my paper. Kinda the same story on Friday (only not after noon, just late)...even though on Friday I got scarcely anything done. Too many other errands to do.

Such as, I went to the grocery store finally. Yay! I got apples and bananas and tomatoes; and apparently tomatoes are scarce this season because of the hurricanes down in florida took out the entire first crop (who knew tomatoes grew in florida?) So they were more expensive than I would have preferred. Also I bought buns to bake and turkey sandwich meat and a can of cranberry sauce (with the whole berries, not just the jellied cranberries). Hey, and isn't Ocean Spray in Wisconsin? Because I thought they were. But Erin claims Massachusetts, and that's what the can said, but I swore they got their cranberries from Wisconsin.

Also I got chicken, and some catfish. I've never had catfish, so I thought it would be good to try. Hopefully it will be.

Last night Paul called me around 12:30, ridiculously drunk. It was very funny. We paused the movie so I could talk to him and it amused me greatly. Tonight he went out to dinner with his fiancee's parents, so hopefully her father approves of the match.

Johanna has been calling me quite frequently since she learned about speakerphone. And she keeps thinking that I'm coming home for Thanksgiving. And I keep telling her I'm not, but I don't think she believes me, so she's going to be quite disappointed come Turkey-Day.

Oh, and Paul, she wants your number so she can call you, too.

K going back home now.
