Oh! I forgot to mention last Sunday that I went to the Human Race, an 8k that Paul and Michelle were both running in. It was fun and they both did good.
This week I made donauwellen. Did I already post about that? It is a german dessert: first vanilla cake, then chocolate cake swirled in, then cherries, then extra-sweet vanilla pudding, then fudge. It's a trip. Yummy. Except I forgot to put vanilla in the cake part and the pudding part was too runny, but oh well.
Today I cleaned out my closet even more, getting rid of lots of old clothes. I tried to be merciless, cause usually when I do this sort of thing I start thinking "well, I guess it's not SO bad and it ALMOST fits and I COULD wear it." When I started getting that way this time I stopped cleaning the closet. I saved some stuff I didn't like so much for work clothes though, casual office jobs. I need to get more work skirts.
Right now I am applying for a job as a semi-waitress at a cafe (you only bring the food to them, you don't go get their order)...it is a bit more upscale than the diner, and not graveyard shifts. It is about halfway between my parents' house and Paul's apartment, which is a perfect little walk from either. Just for a few hours a week, I just need to make as much as I spend (which isn't much, but it adds up week after week after week). So hopefully something will pan out there. I am nervous about starting a new job. I hate starting new jobs. Also on the application they asked if I had any physical limitations, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. So I left it blank.
