So I have tested 3 different versions of gatorade, and here are my thoughts:

1) Straight-up pre-made Powerade (Jagged Ice, of course, E)

This was the easiest, naturally, and the sweetest, plus you can't get past the Jagged Ice flavor. It's good if you're in a hurry or something, but the most expensive one of the 3. But still I'd probably have to say that for now I like it the best. (If I get used to the other kinds though I may change my mind.)

2) Gatorade powder (Lemon-lime)

This was fine, although it kinda fizzed weird when I shook it up. It reminded me of the liquid lemon jello my mom used to make me drink when I was little and had the stomach flu. But it was convenient, if I just mix it straight into my nalgene, and not bad-tasting. Paul thought I put too much powder in (I followed the directions) but I thought if anything it was a tad weak.

3) Homemade gatorade (questionable flavor. I think it was supposed to be strawberry-orange.)

This you use a kool-aid packet (since it was the "mystery flavor" I don't know what it was, Peter and I guess strawberry) and sugar and salt and water and orange juice. It's alright, I guess, but I think it's kinda weak. Cheap though. I think that if I make it again I will tinker with some of the ingredients...like a little more OJ or something, cause right now it tastes kind of watered down. Even though it;s the right proportions for making 2 quarts of kool-aid, plus some salt and some orange juice. I think the color probably throws me off (although it looks pukey inside my blue nalgene).

So there ya go. About what you'd expect, price-wise, I guess. They're all passable, and better than the sugar-salt-water I made the other night at Paul's. That was just flat-out icky.
