Went shopping today-
got lots of socks at Target. I realized I didn't have any socks that would be good to wear with any 'real' shoes -- i am trying to make a few outfits that look good enough to go intern in. I got a new sweater for under $10 that will look good too. And I got green corduroys, because, come on, who doesn't need green pants? Actually it was just because I wanted some colored pants. And they were only $13. And they were better than pink. I think.

Yesterday I made derby pie, because when I didn't go to Sarah's family's at Thanksgiving, she gloated about the great pie her mom made. So I had to look up derby pie. It is pecan pie except it has chocolate and bourbon in. (Johanna tasted the filling: "that has what daddy drinks in there! brandy!" "No, johanna, it's bourbon." "Well, bourbon sure tastes like brandy!!")

Also Paul, Moriah, and I made chicken paprika for dinner, which was quite good, and chocolate-chip nut banana bread, which will be good when we get to eat it.

So this is the story of my life. I'm rather boring.
